Ohio Barndominium

What is an Ohio Barndominium?

An Ohio Barndominium is a rustic, open concept known to originate in Texas by horsemen who were tired of going out in the weather to check on their animals. It is a house and a horse barn/shop connected to each other. Through the years the concept incorporated large shops and office spaces when a typical garage would not do. Todays Barndominium has become known as custom homes with large, open floor plans using any esthetics to achieve the desired look. The options are endless

Ohio Barndominium builders are more familiar with rustic materials than the conventional home builder. Wide open vaulted ceilings filled with tongue and groove walls and custom beams are our specialty.

Structural Options:

Foundations An Ohio Barndominium’s foundation is the same as any other custom house in the southeast with footers lining all load bearing walls. Barndominiums can be a slab, crawl space, or a basement foundation.
